AXE FILMS

AXE films are produced or realized by Guy Schraenen and released between 1975 and 1979 in the frame of the editorial program of his publishing house Guy Schraenen éditeur.  

 

 

Three three-minute super 8 films were produced for the deluxe editions of the multimedia REVUE AXE. The concept was to invite the contributors Degottex, François Dufrêne and Brion Gysin to experiment the medium film for their first time:

François Dufrêne, affichiste, member of the Nouveaux Réalistes group and sound poet, filmed Paris in "3 minute en vitesse", seen through the reflections of the vivid city: windows of buildings, front shields of cars, puddles in the street etc.
